The new tourist information and public washroom building beside the Mallory Coach House is almost finished, and should be ready for opening in the spring of 2017. Major items still pending are the parking area, landscaping and walkways. The project was made possible by a Canada 150 Grant of $50,000 and a 1000 Islands Community Development Corporation grant of $5,000, both requiring matching funds from the Township. Thank you to the many individuals and businesses who have contributed to our fundraising efforts so far. Receipts for income tax purposes will be issued to all donors and will be accepted at the Township Office during business hours. Individual/group donations of $250 or more will be recognized on a donor wall in the new building. Raffle tickets for two $100 grocery vouchers are currently being sold at the Township Office, with proceeds going to this project. The raffle draw will be held on February 11, 2017, during the Winter Festival.
